MORE RUTHLESS THAN THE ENEMY: WILLIAM "CUBA" PAWLEY'S COVERT CIA is based on research by David Cannon who majored in American Civilization (AB 1969) at the University of Miami up US 1 from the vast JMWAVE CIA Station in Miami. An advertising writer/creative director, Cannon also wrote songs, poetry and a newspaper series on Marvin Airport (Essex County Airport). His William Douglas Pawley research began with a footnote which led to a 1975 FOIA request for the Doolittle Report that emboldened the CIA to become more ruthless than the enemy. Between 1999 and 2026, thousands of previously classified CIA/FBI documents revealed more. His analysis of Zapruder Frame 413 is based upon obtaining a bootleg copy of the Zapruder film in 1975 and replicating what he saw at the Grassy Knoll. He recommends subscribing to maryferrell.org, Jefferson Morley's JFK Facts substack newsletter and podcasts as well as reading Carrozza's biography of William Pawley -- one of mid-century America's most interesting millionaires. An avid tennis player, Cannon holds three balls when serving, hits unorthodox backhands, and switches hands when returning opponent shots. Send comments to: davidpricecannon@gmail.com
